Hector R. Giron

Hector R. Giron has extensive experience in serving veterans and community engagement. Currently a member of the Board of Directors for Operation Turkey since August 2017, and a Service Platoon Leader with The Mission Continues since October 2015, Hector leads teams of veterans and volunteers to positively impact local communities. As a Certified Peer Mentor with the Wounded Warrior Project since December 2011, guidance is provided to fellow warriors in their recovery journeys. Additional roles include Chairman of the 99th VFW State Convention, Service Officer, and Quartermaster at VFW Post 8790, alongside serving as a Camaraderie Program Manager and Navigator with the Lone Star Veterans Association. With a background in the US Navy as an Aviation Ordnanceman, Hector holds degrees in Communications from the University of Houston-Downtown and Lone Star College System.
