Semhal Araya

Semhal Araya is currently the Youth Programs Operations Manager at The Mockingbird Society. Prior to this, they have worked as a Research Associate at Mathematica, a Political Organizer at North Carolina Democratic Party, a Head Tutor at America Reads*America Counts, a Field Organizer at Organizing Corps 2020, and in various other roles such as at Ethiopian Community Development Council, Inc. and YMCA of Greater Louisville. Araya holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Computer Science from Duke University.
