Maureen Dugan

Maureen Dugan has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Maureen is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at The Mom Project since July 2022. In this role, they are responsible for Rails API integration development for 3rd Party business applications, scoping and planning projects, and breaking down technical tasks.

Prior to that, Maureen worked at New Relic, Inc. from 2015 to 2021. Maureen started as a Software Engineer and later became a Senior Software Engineer. Maureen'sresponsibilities included supporting a 10+ year old Ruby on Rails code base, performing deep code investigations, executing test plans, and supporting colleagues in their career development. Maureen also worked on Platform Components in Ruby, Java, and React, managing build and deploy pipelines, application monitoring, and providing urgent care for services.

Maureen's work experience also includes a role as a Developer Advocate & Outreach Coordinator at Epicodus from 2014 to 2015. In this position, they connected with companies looking to hire entry-level developers, coached graduates during the job application process, and coordinated two rounds of the Epicodus internship program.

Furthermore, Maureen has experience as a Coach & Tutor at Portland After School Tennis & Education from 2010 to 2013. Maureen planned and managed tennis and educational activities for at-risk youth, coached tennis and life skills, and trained and mentored new staff and volunteers.

Following their undergraduate studies, from 2006 to 2009, Maureen attended the University at Buffalo, where they pursued a Masters in Art History.
