Bob Shaffer has extensive experience in fire safety management, currently serving as the System Director of Fire Safety at Mount Sinai Hospital since November 2014 and also holding the position of Fire Safety Manager at The Mount Sinai Hospital since May 2013. Prior to these roles, Bob Shaffer worked as a Fire Safety Manager at Montefiore Hospital from September 2011 to April 2013 and as a Fire Safety Officer at Albert Einstein College of Medicine from August 2008 to August 2011. Bob Shaffer began a substantial career in fire safety with the New York City Fire Department, where service lasted from November 1973 to July 2005, culminating in the rank of Captain.
