Pouya Arefi

Pouya Arefi is a Resident Physician in Internal Medicine at The Mount Sinai Hospital since June 2023, with prior experience including serving as a Member of the Board of Directors for ContactLifeline since June 2022. Arefi obtained a Doctor of Medicine degree from Thomas Jefferson University in May 2023, also contributing as a Research Collaborator at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals from January 2020 to April 2023, and as Director of the Prevention Point Clinic and Community Partnerships for JeffHOPE from December 2019 to December 2022. Additional involvement includes working as a Committee Member for the American Medical Association's MSS Committee on Global & Public Health from January 2021 to June 2022, and previous leadership roles such as Board President for the Lymphedema Association of Ontario and member of the Board of Directors for ASO. Arefi also holds degrees in Global Health from McMaster University and in Biology and Physiology from McMaster University, alongside an International Baccalaureate Diploma from Bayview Secondary School.
