Georgia Kourakos

Georgia Kourakos is the MRG Travel Manager at The MRG Group. Georgia has over 18 years of experience in the travel industry, and has been with The MRG Group for just over 2 years. Prior to that, they spent 16 years at Merit Travel, where they were responsible for leading the road map and delivering a unique and competitive portfolio of customized travel products that fit with the company’s brand and establish the strategic vision of the exclusive product line in connection with the company’s business objectives.

Georgia is skilled in creative marketing, initiating, negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers, purchase of international products, brochure production and managing specialty groups and relationships for key accounts, tourism boards, hotels, tour operators and destination management companies. Georgia has established sales strategies, managed budgets of various size and scope consistently exceeding expectations and delivering financial objectives.

Georgia has overseen a team of Tour Hosts to lead groups of up to 100 guests and ensure best relations with our guests and destination partners, handling of emergencies and representation of the company's brand. Georgia has also conducted product and sales presentations, webinar trainings for travel agents and participated in consumer presentations to promote exclusive products.

Georgia Kourakos studied Hospitality and Tourism Administration at Centennial College of Applied Arts. Georgia obtained a diploma in the field, which they have used to work in various hospitality and tourism administration roles.
