George van der Walt

George van der Walt has extensive work experience in the field of geology and exploration services. George is currently the Head of Exploration Services at The MSA Group, where they are responsible for coordinating and planning exploration services, project management, budgeting, and consulting. Prior to this, George held various roles at Geo-Consult International Pty (Ltd) as a Consulting Geologist and Director, where they provided geological consultancy services to a variety of clients and commodities. George also worked as a Senior Exploration Geologist at Groupe Managem, where they supervised exploration activities and technical functions. George has experience in exploration project management, particularly in the field of pegmatite-hosted battery/rare metals. George has worked as a Senior Exploration Project Manager at Rapidlink Resources Limited, overseeing a country-wide exploration program focusing on lithium and rare metal pegmatites in Nigeria. George has also worked at Lonmin Plc, AfriOre Limited, GeoActiv (Pty) Ltd, Goldex 46 (Pty) Ltd, and AngloGold Ltd, gaining experience in geological prospecting, field exploration, project management, core logging, and sampling. Overall, George van der Walt's work experience showcases their expertise in geological consulting, exploration project management, and technical supervision of exploration activities.

George van der Walt completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc. Hons.) in Geology at Stellenbosch University. George then pursued a Master of Science (MSc.) in Economic Geology at the University of the Witwatersrand from 2019 to 2021. In addition to their academic qualifications, George has obtained various certifications including the "Verified International Academic Qualifications" from the World Education Services in October 2020. George also holds memberships with professional organizations such as the Society of Economic Geologists, the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC), and the Geological Society of South Africa. Furthermore, George obtained their Professional Natural Scientist (Pr.Sci.Nat.) designation from the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions (SACNASP) in November 2007.
