David Gramazio

President at the museum box

Prior to co-founding the museum box with Anna, David served as Head of the International Program at MondoMostre. For over a decade he was responsible for the organization’s exhibition program in North America, Japan, China, Australia and New Zealand.

David’s achievements include negotiating sustainable partnerships between museums in Italy and public organizations in Japan and China, as well as the touring exhibitions "Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera and Mexican Modernism." In 2017, David received the Japanese Ambassador’s commendation for his contribution to Japan-Italy relations and his role in 150th-anniversary celebrations.

He has published books on a variety of subjects in several languages including Flesh and Blood. Italian Masterpieces from Capodimonte, Lorenzo Lotto and Masterpieces of Japanese Buddhist Sculpture.

Today David lives in Rome, Italy. He is an alumnus of the University of London - SOAS.
