Julia Diamond

Vice President, TMC Arts at The Music Center

Julia Diamond has extensive work experience in the arts and cultural sector. Julia currently holds the position of Vice President, TMC Arts at The Music Center, a role they have held since May 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Grand Park at The Music Center from December 2019. Before joining The Music Center, Julia worked as the Interim Director at Grand Park from June 2017 to December 2019. Julia also served as the Programming Director at Grand Park from October 2012 to June 2017. Julia Diamond has a diverse education history. Julia attended Harvard Westlake High School from 1992 to 1998, where they obtained their high school degree. Following this, Julia attended Georgetown University from 1998 to 2002, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre, French, and German. In 2000 to 2001, they participated in a study abroad program at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, focusing on German and Theatre. Julia then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Arts Administration at Columbia University from 2010 to 2012.

The Music Center

The Music Center convenes artists, communities and ideas with the goal of deepening the cultural lives of every resident in Los Angeles County. The non-profit performing arts organization has two divisions: The Music Center Arts (TMC Arts) and The Music Center Operations (TMC Ops). TMC Arts, The Music Center's programming engine, provides year-round programming inside The Music Center's four theatres, on The Music Center Plaza, outside at Grand Park-a 12-acre adjacent green space-and in schools and other locations all over Los Angeles County. TMC Arts presents world-class dance with Glorya Kaufman Presents Dance at The Music Center, free and low-cost public concerts and events, as well as K-12 arts education programs. TMC Ops manages the theatres, the Plaza and Grand Park on behalf of the County of Los Angeles.
