Jean Newton

Jean Newton has extensive experience in the music education sector, currently serving as the Executive Director of the Music Conservatory of Westchester since January 1995, overseeing operations for a nonprofit community music school that serves 2,800 students annually and manages a budget of $3 million. Previous roles include Dean of Students and Faculty, Director of Development, and Development Associate/Officer at the Manhattan School of Music from September 1975 to June 1984. Jean Newton holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in English Literature from The Graduate Center, City University of New York, and a Master's Degree in Music Performance (harpsichord, early music) from the Aaron Copland School of Music, Queens College.
