Audrey Kemuma, MBA has a strong background in risk management, quality systems, compliance, and governance. Audrey currently holds the position of Head of Risk Management, Quality Systems, and Compliance at The Nairobi Hospital. Before that, they served as a Member and Vice Chair of the Governance Committee at Start Network, where they contributed to the Start Ready initiative that provided funding for predictable crises. Prior to these roles, Audrey worked at PwC for several years, specializing in risk assurance, enterprise risk management, corporate governance, climate change and sustainability, anti-money laundering, business continuity management, compliance reviews, and internal audit. Audrey has worked with various organizations across different industries and countries.
Audrey Kemuma, MBA has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in International Business and Finance from the WSU Carson College of Business, completed in 2023. Audrey also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance from the University of Nairobi, obtained between 2007 and 2011. Additionally, they have a Certified Public Accounting (CPA) certification from Strathmore University in Accounting, completed in 2008. Audrey has obtained various certifications, including Risk Management in Financial Services from the Institute of Risk Management in 2017 and a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification from the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS) in 2018. Audrey has also achieved additional certifications related to climate change, sustainable finance, crisis anticipation, and action, among others, from reputable institutions such as the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), UN CC:Learn, and Start Network. Lastly, Audrey Kemuma has obtained several certifications in various fields such as IT and cybersecurity risk management, leadership, program management in infection prevention and control, and occupational safety and health, from institutions like LinkedIn and the World Health Organization.
