Debra Phillips

Debra Phillips currently serves as the President and CEO of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), a position held since September 2021. Prior to this, Debra held various leadership roles at the American Petroleum Institute, including Senior Vice President and Vice President of Global Industry Services from October 2018 to September 2021. Debra's experience also spans significant positions at the American Chemistry Council from December 2013 to October 2018, where responsibilities included Vice President of Sustainability & Market Outreach as well as Vice President of Responsible Care and Value Chain Outreach. Debra's career began at Velsicol Chemical Corporation as EHS Director from 1997 to 2000 and included earlier roles at International Paper as EHS Manager/Coordinator from 1994 to 1997. Debra holds a Master's degree in Ecotoxicology from Duke University and a B.S. in Biology from Albright College.
