Catalin Moraru is a seasoned expert in food science with extensive experience in technical management. Currently serving as the Technical Manager at The National Food Lab, Inc. since March 2019, Catalin previously held similar roles at Food Integrity & Innovation and Covance Food Solutions. A significant portion of Catalin's career was spent at the International Food Network, where positions included Group Leader, Project Leader, Senior Food Scientist, and Food Scientist. An academic background includes a PhD in Food Science from Rutgers University and an MS in Food Science from Universidade Católica Portuguesa. Additionally, teaching contributions as an Assistant Professor and Teaching Assistant demonstrate a commitment to education and research in food technology. Early career experience includes roles as a Food Technologist and a Research Intern, underpinning a solid foundation in the field.
