Catherine Goodman

Trustee at THE NATIONAL GALLERY.

Artist, educator and the Founding Artistic Director of the Royal Drawing School, which she co-established with His Majesty the King in 2000. Goodman trained at Camberwell School of Arts & Crafts and at the Royal Academy Schools. She is represented by Marlborough Fine Art. Her numerous solo exhibitions include ‘Portraits from Life’ at the National Portrait Gallery in 2014, Hauser & Wirth Somerset and Marlborough Gallery New York in 2019. Her paintings are held in private and public collections including the National Portrait Gallery, the Fitzwilliam Museum Cambridge and the Royal Collection Trust. In 1987 she won the Royal Academy Gold Medal and in 2002, First Prize in the BP Portrait Award.
