Nina Tirona has a strong background in finance and accounting. Nina started their career in 2000 at Circus Circus Reno, where they worked as a Revenue Auditor/Comp/Managerial Audit. Nina then became a General Ledger Accountant before moving on to Circus Circus Hotel Casino Reno, where they held the positions of Chief Accountant and later Controller. In 2017, they joined ERI Tri-Prop Circus, Silver Legacy, ElDorado as an Assistant Controller for a brief period. Currently, they work at The National Judicial College as the Director of Finance, a role they took on in January 2019, after serving as the Controller.
Nina Tirona obtained their Bachelor of Science in Commerce degree, majoring in Accounting, from the University of Sto. Tomas. Nina attended the university from 1983 to 1987. Following this, Nina pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, with a major in Business Administration, from the same institution. Nina completed their MBA from 1990 to 1992.
Furthermore, Nina obtained additional certification as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in September 1987, from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
During their high school years, Nina attended ETTMNHS, although the specific dates of their enrollment and graduation are not provided.
