Piet van Petegem

Piet Van Petegem is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in IT leadership across multiple sectors. Currently serving as the Chief Technology and Information Officer at The National Lottery since November 2017, Piet is responsible for day-to-day and long-term IT operations and plays a key role on the Executive Committee. Piet has also held prominent positions such as Chairman of the Advisory Board at GUIDATA, Member of the Board of Directors at ADMbelgium, and previously served as Managing Director - COO/CIO at Record Bank. With a career spanning several organizations including bpost banque, Joris Ide, VRT, and Arthur Andersen, Piet has consistently driven digital transformation, strategic IT initiatives, and operational excellence, while fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and teams. Educational credentials include studies at KU Leuven and Katholieke Hogeschool Brugge-Oostende.
