Iwan Setiawan

Iwan Setiawan is an experienced geologist currently serving as the Head of the Research Center for Geological Resources at the National Agency for Research and Innovation since July 2022. In addition to this role, Iwan has been a researcher at RC Geotechnology LIPI since December 2003 and held a position as a visiting researcher at the Institute of Earth Science, Academia Sinica from September 2018 to March 2019, focusing on linking tectonic history, magmatic processes, and resources. Iwan holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economic Geology from Akita University (2013-2016), a Master's degree in Geology from Institut Teknologi Bandung (2005-2007), and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Alteration and Mineralization from Universitas Padjadjaran (1996-2001).
