Doug McCurry

Doug McCurry is an experienced education leader with a strong background in developing innovative programs and partnerships. Currently serving as Co-Founder and Partner at Simply Great Schools, Doug collaborates with former superintendents to empower partners nationwide in creating exceptional educational environments. As a Senior Advisor and former Chief of Program & Partnerships at The National Summer School Initiative, Doug has been instrumental in designing culturally relevant summer curricula and enhancing partner relationships. Doug founded McCurry Consulting, where support was provided to various educational initiatives and school leaders. Previously, Doug held leadership roles at Achievement First, and began a career in education as a teacher at Providence Day School. Doug holds a B.A. in History and Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an M.A. in Educational Administration from Teachers College, Columbia University.
