Ali MacLeod

Head Of Fundraising at The National Trust for Scotland

Ali MacLeod has a diverse work experience in fundraising and development roles. They started their career as a Volunteer at Project Trust in 1997 and later worked as a Senior Fundraiser at the British Red Cross from 2001 to 2005. From 2005 to 2006, they served as a Development Executive at Jordan Red Crescent and then as a Fundraising Manager at Macmillan Cancer Support. They joined the University of Aberdeen in 2006 as a Senior Development Executive and stayed there until 2011. Ali then worked at the University of Melbourne as the Manager of Fundraising & Major Gifts for the Faculty of Business & Economics from 2011 to 2013. Their next position was as the Director of Fundraising and Marketing at Mercy Corps from 2013 to 2016. Currently, Ali is the Head of Fundraising at the National Trust for Scotland since 2017.

Ali MacLeod received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics & International Relations from the University of Aberdeen, where they studied from 1998 to 2001. Later, Ali pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Business at Robert Gordon University, which they completed from 2006 to 2009.
