James Dean

James Dean is an experienced business and operations manager with a robust background in managing visitor attractions and museums. Currently serving as Business Manager and Operations Manager at the National Trust for Scotland since August 2018, James previously held various leadership positions, including General Manager at Lakeland Arts and Hoghton Tower, where responsibilities included writing strategic business plans and enhancing visitor experiences. Prior experience also includes managing multiple National Museums and Visitor Attractions for Canal & River Trust, as well as overseeing the Standedge Tunnel and visitor services at RSPB's Fairburn Ings nature reserve. James Dean holds a Bachelor's Degree in Zoology/Animal Biology from the University of Leeds.
