Jim Whyteside

Jim Whyteside is an experienced public affairs and communications professional currently serving as the Strategic Public Affairs Advisor at the National Trust for Scotland since July 2010. In this role, Jim is responsible for reviewing the Trust's Public Affairs activities and developing a new strategy. Previous positions include Interim Director of Customer & Cause and Head of Communications at the same organization, as well as Head of Public Affairs at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, and Policy and Marketing Manager at South Lanarkshire Council. Jim's career began in marketing roles at SCOTVEC, the Lanarkshire Development Agency, and the Scottish Development Agency. Jim holds an MA (Hons) in Social Sciences from the University of Glasgow and a Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
