Lorne de Ste Croix has over 30 years of work experience in various IT roles. Lorne is currently working as the Technology Director at the National Trust for Scotland since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked as an Information Technology Programme Consultant at JD Sports Fashion plc from December 2019 to August 2021. Lorne also served as the Group Head of Information Technology at Tiso Group Ltd from September 2017 to December 2019. Before that, Lorne held the position of IT Director and Head of IT at Dobbies Garden Centres Ltd from 2014 to 2017. Lorne has also worked as a Project Director at LDSC, IT Director at AECOM, Director of IT Operations at Faber Maunsell, and held various IT roles at Oscar Faber and BREL (British Rail Engineering).
Lorne de Ste Croix's education history begins in 1985 when they enrolled at Edinburgh Napier University. Lorne completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Industrial Design (Technology) in 1989. After that, Lorne pursued further education at the same university, graduating in 1991 with a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Information Technology (Computer Aided Engineering).
In addition to their formal education, Lorne de Ste Croix has obtained several certifications. In June 2005, they obtained the PRINCE2 foundation certification from APMG-International. The following year, in June 2006, they earned the ITIL Service and Delivery Management foundation certification from QA Technology Company, Inc. Lorne became a Chartered IT Professional in March 2009, certified by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. Most recently, in April 2021, they obtained the MSP Foundation Certificate in Programme Management from PeopleCert.
