Andrea Armstrong

Andrea Armstrong is a Conservation Social Scientist at The Nature Conservancy since 2021. Armstrong has served as Co President of the Board of Directors at Northern Lights School from January 2022 to 2024. Prior to this, Armstrong was an Assistant Professor at Lafayette College from July 2015 to December 2021 and a Doctoral Graduate Research Assistant at Utah State University from July 2011 to June 2015, collaborating on iUTAH ESPCoR and USDA-NIFA research teams. Armstrong began a career in research as a Graduate Research Assistant at Cornell University from August 2008 to March 2011 and also worked as a Paralegal Specialist for the U.S. Department of Justice's Environment and Natural Resources Division from 2006 to 2008. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in Natural Resources from Cornell University (2008-2010), a Doctor of Philosophy in Sociology from Utah State University (2011-2015), and a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources from Cornell University (2002-2006).
