Anne Hughes

Anne Hughes is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in grants management and compliance, primarily within environmental organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Finance Specialist at The Nature Conservancy since October 2021, Anne collaborates with teams on budget management in the North America Policy and Government Relations and US Climate Action sectors. Prior roles include Director of Grants Management at Chicago Botanic Garden and Director of Grants Monitoring and Compliance at the National Safety Council, where Anne oversaw government award compliance. Anne's earlier tenure at The Nature Conservancy included various leadership positions, such as Associate Director of Operations and Project Manager for a staff engagement initiative. Anne holds a Master’s in Environmental Studies from the University of Illinois Springfield, an Executive MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology, and a Bachelor’s in Politics and Government from Illinois State University.
