Carolyn Sheffield

Carolyn Sheffield, MLS, PMP, currently serves as a Senior Information Technology Project Manager at The Nature Conservancy, a position held since February 2022. Prior to this role, Carolyn was the Associate Director for Library Technology and Digital Strategies at the University of Maryland Baltimore County from March 2019 to February 2022. Carolyn's experience at the Smithsonian Institution includes roles as Program Manager for the Biodiversity Heritage Library from July 2013 to February 2019 and Project Manager for the Field Book Project from 2010 to 2013, where responsibilities included managing international consortiums and enhancing access to collections. Earlier experience includes serving as a Grants Coordinator for the Maryland State Department of Education and a Project Manager at CLiMB, focusing on metadata-mining research. Carolyn's educational background includes a Master of Library Science degree in Archives, Records, and Information Management from the University of Maryland.
