Cynthia Beckwith

Cynthia Beckwith has extensive experience in fundraising and development within conservation organizations, particularly with The Nature Conservancy since 2000. Currently serving as the Senior Development Officer for Deal Capital and Leverage, Cynthia collaborates with global fundraising teams to secure funding for high-impact protection projects. Previous roles at The Nature Conservancy include Director of Development for Global Priorities, where fundraising efforts focused on Global Science and the Global Protect Oceans, Lands and Water team, and Director of Philanthropy for Canada and Alaska, overseeing major gift fundraising. In addition to non-profit experience, Cynthia has held positions as a freelance writer, news editor, and development communications intern. With degrees in Communications and Journalism & Public Administration, Cynthia brings a strong background in both communication and fundraising strategy to her work in conservation.
