Katie Torpy

Katie Torpy currently serves as the Great Plains Division Interim Climate and Energy Lead at The Nature Conservancy and has held several leadership roles within the organization, including Director of External Affairs & Climate Policy and Climate & Energy Policy Lead. With a professional background at the Joslyn Institute, Katie managed programs, conducted research, engaged stakeholders, and coordinated communications from 2005 to 2016. Additionally, Katie contributed to the Green Omaha Coalition as Communications Committee Chair, where responsibilities included producing a quarterly newsletter and managing public relations efforts. Academic credentials include a Master of Public Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, with a focus on Environmental Issues, from Colorado College.
