Michael Wironen

Michael Wironen, Ph.D., serves as the Director of Corporate Engagement for Food & Water at The Nature Conservancy, where leadership involves engaging the private sector in global food, agriculture, freshwater, and fisheries initiatives. As a Senior Scientist at TNC's Center for Sustainability Science, Michael supports collaborations aimed at scaling conservation solutions. Additionally, Michael holds advisory roles at the African Plant Nutrition Institute and EarthPercent, having previously provided consultancy services focused on reducing environmental impacts in agricultural systems. Michael earned a Ph.D. in Natural Resources from the University of Vermont and possesses extensive experience in sustainability, including positions at various organizations such as Ecology and Environment, Inc., and Champlain College, where curriculum design and teaching were also integral responsibilities.
