Rachel Pasternack

Rachel Pasternack is an accomplished professional in environmental policy and sustainable development, currently serving as the Global Lead for Forests & Climate at The Nature Conservancy since October 2016. Previously, Rachel held the position of Senior Project Manager at the Global Canopy Programme, focusing on unlocking forest finance and managing multi-million-euro budgets for sustainable investment initiatives. Rachel's expertise extends to various roles, including Environmental Policy Specialist at The World Bank, where contributions to the inaugural Environmental Knowledge Management Series were made, and earlier positions involving policy research and legislative support within the US Congress. Educationally, Rachel holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from the London School of Economics and a BA in Political Science and Spanish from The University of New Mexico.
