Brian Candaza

Brian Candaza is a dedicated maritime professional with extensive experience as a Deck Assistant Officer at Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement since August 2019. Known for ensuring compliance with safety protocols, Brian actively participates in shipboard activities and adheres to work permits. Previous roles include serving as a Deck Cadet and OIC-NW in training. Currently, Brian is a Student Affiliate at both The Nautical Institute and the Royal Institute of Navigation, as well as a Student Member of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology (IMarEST). Brian has also held the role of Ambassador for THE CHIRP CHARITABLE TRUST, promoting maritime safety awareness and incident reporting. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Transportation from the Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific and has a background in Geodetic Engineering from Bicol University.
