Rocky Dobson

Rocky Dobson is an experienced operational planner at the US Marine Corps Headquarters, serving since May 2022. With a robust background in various roles within the Marine Corps and athletics, Dobson has demonstrated expertise in crisis planning, administrative management, and event operations. Previous positions include Staff Secretary and G-1 Operations Officer for Marine Corps Forces Europe and Africa, where strategic force generation planning was a key responsibility. As a warfighting instructor at The Basic School, Dobson trained newly commissioned officers, emphasizing leadership and professional standards. Additional experience includes serving as the S-1 Officer for the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit, where administration for a large team was managed across deployments. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Military Operational Art and Science from the U.S. Army School of Advanced Military Studies and a Bachelor of Science in American Government and Law from the United States Naval Academy, among other advanced military studies.
