Bill Roux

Bill Roux is the Controller at The Nebraska Masonic Home. Bill has previously worked as the Vice President of Finance at the YMCA of Greater Omaha and as an Assistant Branch Manager & Financial Services Executive at Zurich Insurance Company Ltd.

Roux has been in the finance industry for over 35 years. Bill started their career as an Assistant Branch Manager & Financial Services Executive at Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. in 1981. In this role, they were responsible for various essential functions involved in the profitable production of: 1. Fidelity and Surety Bonds and 2. Specialty insurance policies for construction contractors and Financial Institutions in Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota.

In 2000, Roux began working at the YMCA of Greater Omaha as their Vice President of Finance. In this role, they oversaw the accounting department for a growing YMCA that served four counties in the Omaha area. Bill supervised 7 accounting personnel and oversaw financial analysis, financial audits, G/L A/R, A/P and fixed-asset accounting in accordance with GAAP standards. Roux also developed and managed external financial relationships (e.g., banks, insurers, auditors) and constantly looked for ways to strengthen overall financial performance. In addition to these responsibilities, they were also responsible for risk management affairs of our association and provided assistance to HR with employee benefits and outside reporting requirements.

Roux has been with The Nebraska Masonic Home since December 2012 and currently serves as their Controller.

Bill Roux has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Northwest Missouri State University and a diploma from Saint Albert High school.

They work with Jonna Carroll - Activity Director, Gary Radil - 1st Vice President, and Sarah Dovenbarger - Plant Operations Supervisor. Bill Roux reports to April Johnston, Executive Director.
