Jannine van de Maat is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in data coordination and survey methodology. Presently serving as Coordinator Data and Surveymethodologist/Datamanager at Sociaal en Cultureel Planbureau since September 2016, Jannine is also a member of the Core Scientific Team for the European Social Survey, where responsibilities include promoting desirable interviewer behavior. Prior to this, Jannine was a Lecturer at Leiden University from September 2009 to August 2016, teaching courses in statistics, methodology, public opinion, political psychology, and academic skills. Jannine earned a PhD in Political Science with a dissertation focused on item nonresponse in public opinion surveys, defended in September 2019. Additional roles include a Fellowship at KITLV as a survey methodologist and teaching assistant positions at Leiden University. Jannine holds an MPhil in Political Science and a BA in Political Science from Leiden University, as well as a VWO diploma from Reggesteyn Nijverdal.
