Leen Sterckx is an experienced qualitative researcher with a focus on sociological studies, particularly regarding ethnic minorities and marriage migration. Currently serving as a qualitative methodologist at the Sociaal en Cultureel Planbureau since May 2015, Leen provides advice and support to researchers in qualitative research initiatives. Previous roles include scientific employee at the same institution, where Leen investigated the backgrounds of marriage migration, and filling various research and advisory positions across prominent organizations, including contributing as a senior researcher at Labyrinth Onderzoek & Advies and as an editor for Sociologie Magazine. Leen has also held academic positions as a university lecturer at the University of Amsterdam, where instruction focused on sociological theory and qualitative research methods, alongside completing a PhD focused on mixed marriages among Turkish and Moroccan youth. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Labour Sciences from ISCTE and a Master's degree in Sociology from KU Leuven.
