Karim Traboulsi

Karim Traboulsi is a seasoned journalist and managing editor at The New Arab (Al-Araby Al-Jadeed) since December 2014, overseeing a dynamic newsroom of over 30 professionals in areas such as journalism, multimedia production, and social media. This platform focuses on MENA/SWANA and diaspora topics, providing extensive political analysis, opinion pieces, and investigative reporting. Prior to this role, Karim worked as a translator, editor, and linguist in Arabic<>English contexts from April 2008 to December 2014, specializing in a wide range of text types and achieving recognition for the literary translation of Abzulaziz al-Mahmoud's novel The Holy Sail in December 2015. Karim holds a Master's degree in Translation Studies from the University of Portsmouth and a certificate in Arabic to English Translation from New York University.
