Rebekah Hook-Held

Rebekah Hook-Held, M.A. has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Strategic Advancement Officer at The New Children's Museum. Prior to this, they worked at the San Diego LGBT Community Center, where they served as the Chief Public Affairs & Civic Engagement Officer from October 2017 to August 2023. Before that, they held the role of Director Of Public Affairs at the same organization from January 2014 to October 2017.

Rebekah also worked at CityWorks People + Places, Inc. as a Public Policy Associate from May 2011 to January 2014. Rebekah gained experience as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Western Washington University from March 2010 to March 2011. Additionally, they served as the Resident Resource Awareness Programs Coordinator at the Office of Sustainability at Western Washington University from June 2008 to March 2010.

Their early career included a role as a District Intern for Congressman Larsen at the U.S. House of Representatives from June 2008 to September 2008. Rebekah also obtained a Master of Arts degree from the same institution, specializing in Political Science, Public Policy, and Environmental Land Use.
