Martin Nicholls

Martin Nicholls has a diverse work experience in graphic design and art direction. Martin started their career at The Guardian in 2001 as a Politics subeditor before becoming a Senior news subeditor. In 2008, they joined Guardian/Observer Newspapers as a Designer. Martin then worked as a freelance Graphic Designer under their own name from 2017 to 2021. Most recently, they worked as an Art Director at The New European starting from 2023.

Martin Nicholls obtained their Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in English Literature from The University of Edinburgh in 1999. Following this, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Journalism from Goldsmiths, University of London, which they completed in 2001.
