Kia Hatfield has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. From 2006 to 2014, they worked at Cumulus Broadcasting as a Promotions Technician, where they executed radio station promotional activities, set up and broke down promotional materials and equipment at remote broadcasts and events, completed reports and documents associated with promotions activities, and maintained compliance with contest and FCC rules and regulations. From 2006 to 2009, they also served as the Promotions Director at Citadel Broadcasting. Since September 2020, Kia has been working at The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and Foundation, Inc., first as a Programs, Marketing, and Communications Coordinator, and currently as the Director of Programs, Marketing, and Communications.
Kia Hatfield attended Xavier University Preparatory from 1995 to 1999, where they pursued a college preparatory study. From 2000 to 2005, they went on to study at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications with a focus on Broadcasting & Francophone Studies. Their concentration during their time at the university was on Creole & Cajun dialect.
