Anna Baker-Heans

Trustee at The New School

Anna Baker-Heans is a third year undergraduate student at Eugene Lang, and is majoring in Politics. Before coming to The New School she grew up in the Bay Area, California. In her home town Anna was active in working to expand training against sexual harasment and advocated to implement anti-racist education programs in her school district.

In her time at the New School, Anna has been honored to serve in several different roles including Community Assistant, Resident Assistant, Coordinator of SLI’s Leadership Retreat, student speaker at SLI’s Learn2Lead Week, and Co-Director of the Student Senate’s Advocacy Committee.

Anna is passionate about expanding access to food, housing, and financial security for all community members at The New School, and hopes to work to find solutions to these issues through her work on the Board of Trustees and Student Senate. She is thrilled for the opportunity to represent student voices and looks forward to collaborating with the New School community to work towards human-centered policies and solutions.
