Carlos Vargas

Carlos Vargas serves as a Parsons Scholar Mentor at Parsons School of Design - The New School, beginning in August 2019, where responsibilities include assisting high school students from all five boroughs of New York with college research, portfolio development, and educational trips to museums and galleries. Prior experience includes an internship at ArtsConnection from October 2018 to June 2019, where Carlos photographed events, organized materials, and managed student information using Microsoft Excel. Additionally, Carlos interned at the Bronx Museum of the Arts during the same timeframe, participating in a student council program focused on political and gender issues and helping to plan a gallery event featuring student work. Carlos earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from Parsons School of Design - The New School, completing the degree in May 2023.
