Francesca Granata is an Associate Professor at Parsons School of Design - The New School, where contributions have included roles as Director of the MA Fashion Studies program and previously as an Assistant Professor in the School of Art and Design History and Theory. Granata has served as Editor for Fashion Projects: A Journal on Art, Fashion and Visual Culture since February 2004 and was a Guest Curator at Pratt Institute for the exhibition "Ethics + Aesthetics = Sustainable Fashion" from 2008 to 2010. An Art History Research Fellow at the Metropolitan Museum of Art from 2007 to 2008 and a Lecturer in the Visual Arts Department at Goldsmiths University of London from 2006 to 2007, Granata holds a PhD in Visual Culture from Central Saint Martins, University of The Arts London, an MA in Cinema and Media Studies from New York University, and a BA & BFA in Art History and Visual Arts from Tufts University.
