Maya Ciarrocchi

Maya Ciarrocchi is an interdisciplinary artist and projection designer with extensive experience in video and animation for performance. As a part-time associate teaching professor at Parsons School of Design since 2010, Maya has taught classes in video, photo, installation, and design. In addition to an upcoming role as an adjunct assistant professor at City University of New York-Herbert H. Lehman College, Maya has previously served as an adjunct professor at Marymount Manhattan College and Long Island University, focusing on dance and technology, projection design, and video art. Maya led the Gender/Power project from 2015 to 2023, which explores the intersection of authority and body perception through narrative and movement. Maya holds an MFA in Computer Art from the School of Visual Arts and a BFA in Dance from Purchase College, SUNY.
