Rachel Urkowitz

Rachel Urkowitz is a seasoned artist and educator with extensive experience in various facets of design and illustration. Currently, Rachel serves as a part-time Assistant Professor at Parsons School of Design, specializing in courses related to color theory, design principles, and surface design. Rachel operates Rachel Urkowitz Studio, creating multidisciplinary artworks, including painting, sculpture, and collage. The artistic practice is complemented by a robust background in design production for prominent publications such as The Lancet and Child Magazine, as well as experience in graphic design and consulting for various clients. In addition to an array of roles in the industry, including production manager and studio manager, Rachel holds multiple degrees in Fine Arts, including an MFA from Hunter College, and a BA from Brown University.
