Sam Mejias

Sam Mejias serves as the Dean of the School of Art, Media and Technology and holds the position of Associate Professor of Social Justice and Community Engagement at Parsons School of Design - The New School since July 2020. Prior to this, Sam was affiliated with the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) as a Visiting Research Fellow and Research Fellow from September 2015 to August 2024. Additional experience includes roles as a Freelance Researcher at BBC Media Action, an Education Development Consultant at SoCha Global, and a Research Officer at the UCL Institute of Education, University College London. Sam has also contributed as a Consultant for Amnesty International, a Multimedia Curriculum Specialist for Global Kids, Inc., and a Program Manager for ArtsConnection. Academic credentials include a PhD in Human Rights Education from IOE - UCL's Faculty of Education and Society, a Master's degree in International Educational Development from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor's degree from William & Mary.
