Sharmaine Ong has extensive experience in the publishing and arts sector, currently serving as Advertising Manager at The New York Review of Books since May 2019, having progressed through roles as Advertising Associate and Advertising Assistant. Prior experience includes an internship/fellowship at I, Too Arts Collective and freelance writing for BluReef Aquarium. Sharmaine also held editorial and social media positions with companies such as Austin Macauley Publishers Limited and Adler Social, and contributed as a writer for Spoon University and Blue Mesa Review. Sharmaine holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from The College of New Rochelle and a Master's Degree in Creative Writing from St. Joseph's University New York, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Creative Writing from the University of New Mexico.
