Tim Judah is a seasoned journalist and special correspondent for The Economist since 1990, extensively covering pivotal events in the Balkans and significant global stories such as the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. As a contributor to The New York Review of Books since 1998, Judah has produced nearly 50 reportage pieces, maintaining a focus on critical geopolitical issues. In leadership roles, Judah serves as President of the Board for both the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network and the Kosovar Stability Initiative, fostering journalistic integrity and research excellence in the region. Judah's consultancy experience spans various global organizations, including the United Nations, and academic involvement as a fellow with the Institut für die Wissenschaften vom Menschen. Educationally, Judah holds a BSc (Econ) from The London School of Economics and a MALD from The Fletcher School at Tufts University.
