Michelle Spoone

Michelle Spoone has over a decade of progressive experience in accounting and finance. Currently serving as Principal Accountant at NYSTRS since May 2016, Michelle has also held positions including Associate Accountant of Finance Systems and Senior Accountant within the same organization. Prior to NYSTRS, Michelle was the Controller at P&M Brick from April 2011 to May 2016, and spent time as an Accounts Receivable Specialist at Carver Sand & Gravel, LLC from June 2009 to April 2011. Earlier roles include Office Manager at Columbia Historic Homes, LLC and Accounts Payable Clerk at Times Union Center. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Siena College and a Master’s Degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Phoenix.
