The New Yorker
Erik Bergstrom is an experienced cartoonist and voiceover actor currently freelancing for The New Yorker since January 2012, contributing to the magazine and its Augmented Reality App. Between June 2013 and January 2015, Erik worked as a blogger and illustrator for SparkNotes LLC, creating comedic content focused on pop culture and current events. Additional freelance writing experience includes a role as a comedy writer for MTV's "Guy Code" in mid-2014 and a blogger for Comedy Central's "Indecision 2012," where Erik produced memes and joke texts. Earlier experience includes working as a museum assistant at the Queen Sofía Spanish Institute on fashion and art exhibitions, an author and illustrator for "Grimmer Tales" at Penguin Publishing Group, and various design roles in the publishing industry. Erik holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Visual Communication and Illustration from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, completed in 2005.
