Erika Sjule

Erika Sjule is a cartoonist currently working at The New Yorker since September 2019, contributing single panel and longer form humor content for Shouts & Murmurs. Prior to this role, Erika operated as a freelance cartoonist, illustrator, storyboard artist, and author from February 2019 to September 2021, producing a range of illustrative and storytelling work. Experience also includes serving as a storyboard artist at Udacity (January 2017 - January 2019), where Erika developed storyboards for entertainment and educational projects. Earlier positions include HR Coordinator and Office Manager at Mesosphere, Inc. (April 2014 - December 2015), Marketing & Sales Assistant at Natural Health International (September 2013 - April 2014), and Account Executive at Yelp (January 2013 - September 2013). Erika's foundational roles extend back to serving and interning in various capacities, including a Research Assistant at UC Irvine. Erika holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from UC Irvine and an Associate of Arts in Psychology from Santa Ana College.
