Naomi Sharp

Naomi Sharp is an experienced fact-checker currently working at The New Yorker since March 2024, following a freelance fact-checking role from February 2020 to March 2024. Prior experience includes positions as a researcher and research associate at the Center for an Urban Future from September 2017 to February 2020, and various freelance roles as a fact-checker and reporter between 2015 and April 2018. Naomi has also worked as a bookseller at Strand Bookstore and served as an editorial fellow at The Atlantic. Additional editorial experience includes roles as features editor and senior editor at The Blue and White, as well as a trade editorial intern at W. W. Norton & Company, Inc. Educational credentials include a BA in English and Comparative Literature from Columbia University, earned in 2015, and attendance at Walter Payton College Prep between 2006 and 2010.
